I've had nothing but good encounters using this company on two occasions. Perhaps some of the negative reviewers didnt communicate with the company as they should have...which is stated upon the first contact with office staff that this is key to a successful move experience. I'd use em again.

If you really want your property get damaged and waste months of your time trying to get it fixed then you should definitely hire 'Hollister Moving & Storage'.
The previous owners of a house I bought hired 'Hollister Moving & Storage' to move their furniture out. 'Hollister Moving & Storage' damaged the ceiling of the house in the process. We opened a claim and they sent one of their drivers to patch the ceiling which made the problem worst leaving a cracked white patch on the ceiling instead of a proper fix.
Me and my agent reach out to them several times but they kept giving excuses, asking us to match the color of the ceiling paint ourselves (something that a professional would have been able to figure out). We went over the same question over and over making me and my agent waste more than a month without actually getting a proper fix.
In summary avoid at all cost hiring this poor value, poor quality and not responsive company. If I would be allowed I would have given a zero stars rate.Read more

I tried to support the local team with my move and greatly regret doing so. On the day of the move the team arrived short at least one planned laborer so they quickly found themselves behind schedule. It was a local move, so this led to a late start unloading at the new home. I ended up having to help unload and they still worked well past midnight. The team did not use any protective coverings, so there wasn't a corner or doorframe that wasn't scratched or needed repainting. They reassembled a bed incorrectly (which later collapsed when a house guest used it). When leaving they drug the lift gate of the truck down the driveway (causing gashes), drove through and damaged a retaining wall and irrigation system, then backed over the mailbox. The claims process took months and they low-balled the repairs claiming no need to fix the driveway since there were other blemishes on it. I've decided it's not worth my time to go to small claims court, but would highly discourage anyone from utilizing their services.Read more

Talk about excellent customer service and going above and beyond. First, Carl made this move extremely easy for us. His moving team and delivery team were incredibly professional. And their customer service team truly went above and beyond when our closing date & move-in date were in constant flux to the very end. They were able to reschedule us to our ideal move-in date on very short notice and truly made our experience exceptional. Highly recommend these movers!

Juan and his team that completed our move did a great job. They were careful with everything, asked a lot of questions, and disassembled and reassembled items quickly and correctly. Once everything was in our new house, the team made sure we were happy with the placement of all of the furniture. They moved our china cabinet three times until my wife was happy with the location!
The moving box rental system is great. It cuts way down on moving expenses. Doug will even supply recycled packing paper at no cost if you don't mind flattening it out before you use it. Just keep track of what you get and what is returned on moving day.
