We used Sky Van Lines to take us from S CA to CO. The sales guy made many promises that weren’t true. It’s taken me quite awhile to write this review due to the stress of the whole situation. The truck didn’t show up when I was told. They overcharged. The guy in charge on moving day charged me for every single teeny item when I was told he’d do just the opposite. We were missing two boxes. I called and they could hv cared less. Never followed up. Then they said the truck was overloaded & wanted to charge me an additional 3k. I got a Uhaul for $700. Do not use these people unless you’re rich and don’t care about your stuff. If I had it to do over again I would have done only Uhaul. I would have paid only a third of the nearly 10k I spent. I’m still sick about the hassle and the expense. Live & learn!!!

The whole experience with Sky Van Line went so smoothly. I booked their service less than a week in advance and the office people were so helpful getting everything set up. I had two additional pickup locations besides the starting and ending points and that was no issue at all.

My foreman and his team were wonderful - careful, efficient, funny, and kind. They wrapped up all of my furniture, took apart a dining table and put it back together at the new location (and screwed the legs in much tighter than they were before!). This is the first time moving wasn't a stressful experience for me and it's definitely thanks to Sky Van Line.

I recently hired Sky Van Line Moving Company for a move from California to Washington, and I couldn't be happier with their services. The entire process was smooth and efficient, from packing to transportation. The team was professional, careful with my belongings, and delivered everything on time. I highly recommend Sky Van Line for any long-distance move.

I wish i could give them 2 1/2 stars but it’s not an option. I originally received my quote from Trinity Relocation Group and these guys showed up.

First of all, I was told that I’d be contacted 24-48 hours for pick up of my household items.I received phone call 18 hours before they were to arrive. Then once they arrived to pick up my items, i was told that I had way more stuff than was quoted. But to be honest I had eliminated multiple items that would reduce the cubic footage needed. Anyway, because of their guesstimation, ended up paying twice as much as was quoted to me for pickup. So I paid the additional $2k to have my items shipped as I was moving cross country.

Secondly, i was told that it would take approximately 21 days to move my items. But once the movers got to my house the number of days increased to up to 45 days for delivery. My delivery was delayed by a week due to the driver having a family emergency. My items arrived on day 35. There were only two people unloading the truck and moving items into my house, the driver and another person. The driver said there were two more people coming but only 1 person showed.

Thirdly, my advice to anyone using Sky Van Lines is to be sure you purchase your own insurance for the full value of your shipment. I did not do that and regret it. I sustained quite a few items damaged and broken, although the boxes were marked fragile. Some of my boxes had water damage. I filed a claim with the third party insurance CSI moving claims and received less than $35 for all of the damages sustained. The replacement is based upon weight at $0.60 per pound. (Rip Off). To me this gives the movers a pass to treat your items carelessly.

Be careful using this company moving your household items cross country. It might be more cost effective to drive it yourself if you can,.

I couldn't have had a worse experience with this moving company. The movers showed up looking like they were hired off of the street. They packed up my items and were off. 8 days later they showed up at my new place. The driver had hired some random people to help with the move and only one showed up, leaving them very understaffed. As they began to move my furniture inside I noticed that everything that wasn't in a box was broken. My couch, TV, TV console, chairs, bikes, piano and lamp were all destroyed. It was so bad that the driver called the owner of the company and told him he had never seen anything this bad. I filled out the appropriate paperwork for the insurance and after 4 months of phone calls and emails, I was told they would reimburse me $149 for the $5,000 worth of damage they caused. Ive spent the last month emailing the company and trying to get them to pay for the damages they caused. They have taken at least a week to respond to every email. Today I was told that they would offer me $649 and that was their final offer. Please do yourself a favor and find another Moving company. They are not reliable and do not take any ownership for the damages they cause. You are better off throwing your stuff away and buying new stuff at your new location. It will save you the headache and frustration from dealing with such a horrible company.Read more
