My sister had to move from Brooklyn NY to Ft Lauderdale FL. A good freind recommended Highlawn Moving said they move with them twice, I passed the info to my sister. She compared rates and decided to move with them. I personally followed up on the phone with the representative to check that my sister had a smooth move. They gave her a flat price and two weeks ago picked up her items. The moving crew on pick up date were efficient and courteous as I was there to help. She received her belongings five days later as they promised within a week delivery, my sister is now unpacked and said besides the one box that was a bit smashed (I guess she didn't packed it well) everything arrived perfectly fine. She had some mirrors, pictures and TVs that were all packed by Highlawn and two bedroom/living room furniture. From this experience I will certainly recommend this movers.

They only take cash and manipulate like they take credit cards. They won't tell you until they get your stuff loaded on they truck. Miss quoted me by 2k. Won't take credit card at all. So they want cash upfront and they take your stuff hold it in a warehouse in bk. If something happens your screwed cuz u paid they cash. Gave me a quote of 3900 and it came out to 6k for my move to Florida. Horrible experience doing a long distance move from NJ to FL. The men dragged my furniture across the lawn put my bare furniture unwrapped on wet grass. No young hard working men to carry items and furniture properly. They didn't wrap the stuff properly. Cracked the feet of my couches. I do not recommend this company for any time short or long distances moving services. When they brought my stuff they would not rebuild it as promised. They had horrible attitudes when arrived with stuff. Do not use this company. They are shady for not accepting credit cards. They will give a quote and the day of move charge you 2,000 more and make you pay cash only otherwise hold your stuff hostage in a warehouse in bk. All legit great moving companies take credit cards. Fast, effective, reliable. They were careful when it came to our new home and didn’t scratch our newly installed flooring. The prices they had were very reasonable. Thank you.

I recently hired Highlawn for a move from Brooklyn to SC. The communication was never a problem. We did a walk through video when it came to the estimates and such. The price we paid was reasonable and stayed the same when all was done. This company did come recommended by a close friend, and I can see why. I’m happy with how the move went.

I have used this company twice -- in an intercity move and when moving from Brooklyn to Fairfield, CT -- and I will be using them again. Susan was very understanding, helpful, and communicative throughout both moves. And the movers were punctual, efficient, and professional. They had everything packed and ported into the truck in no time and they made the moving experience so much easier.
