The mover was supposed to pickup on Friday 12-4pm, told us they had difficulties with their movers at 3:13pm and cancelled altogether on us at 6pm, saying they would need to reschedule for the following week. We had to leave our apartment and couldn't wait. When I told them on the phone they needed to find us another solution such as finding us a storage solution for the time until the pickup, or a truck to bring the boxes to the warehouse ourselves, they laughed at us and told us that they would hang up on us if we were not being reasonable. I have never encountered a service this bad. Because they cancelled so late on a Friday we struggled a lot to find another solution. Luckily, we found another mover they could accomodate us last minute but I've rarely been so stressed. They reached out again on Monday afternoon, as if the whole situation was completely normal, to say they had found another truck to come and pick up our boxes and that we could schedule the pick up for that week. Needless to say that the boxes were not at our apartment anymore at that point, and I would advise everyone against chosing that company!Read more

The representative has been polite and patient with me as it took a while for me to pack and have all details in order. The small issue I had was I wasn't informed of all charges ahead of time and while I was going to pay anyway since I am in transit to an other country I would have liked to have a better picture. Also a couple of days before the moves came to get my boxes I was informed I had to carry my boxes to the curb due to covid 19. Not too happy about that. However the actual movers were super nice and helped as they would on a normal move. In the end I did have to pay some extra because my cubic feet exceeded and the company gifted me the wrapping and paletizing of my boxes.

The agent was both flexible and very thorough in helping us plan this international adventure. The delivery happened exactly as scheduled and the pickup on the other end will actually be ahead of schedule.

While initially we were happy with Crown and the help we received, once our items arrived in Europe there were HUGE fees, which we did not expect. I think we basically doubled the price quoted. When contacted, [name removed by Sirelo] was quick to point out that somewhere in the contract is stated that there may be fees upon arrival. Just let me say this, yes, I'm sure that there is some clause tucked away somewhere in the contract, but in NO WAY was this made clear to us and certainly not made clear what sort of astronomical fees we would be facing. I'm guessing that though each move is unique, the company had to have some idea of the range in price we would incur. The receiving company said they have this problem all the time, wherein the customers are totally shocked at the unexpected, additional costs. We are well educated, savvy people. At best, Crown poorly laid out their fees. At worst, they knew and tried to hide the fact. We felt wholly taken advantage of. I would never recommend these people and am rating them with a 4 only because the front half went well.Read more

We employed Crown Cargo Systems, Inc. to ship 8 moving boxes from GA USA to Stockholm, Swede. They lied in regards to the cost to ship items to another country. This is the estimate we got:
''Shipping and handling from our terminal in Charleston, SC to our terminal in Stockholm, Sweden is $235.00'' The invoice from them was first at $443.03 but finally ended at $343.53 after pointing out some faults in the invoice. Paid by Western Union directly to the only person in that company. The shipment finally got on it's way from USA to Europe.
It finally arrived in Germany but with another surprise.
Then the next invoice came from the German port in Hamburg from NVO Consolidation GmbH. And even that one was spiced to €475,07 but after talking to them we got it down to €165,07.
Finally the shipment was on it's way to Sweden.
Now the next invoice is from P A Spedition & Trading in Gothenburg, Sweden. They want a further 2031 SEK but now I do not know if there will be more fees at the last stop in Stockholm, Sweden.
They are not a total shipping solution. It is a referral company that brokers the shipping to other companies that ALL will charge you fees.
They have so many hidden fees that it is ridiculous, the only thing you pay for is a little paperwork in the US but fail to mention all the other fees. You get slapped with so many hidden fees that it is not worth your time to send anything with them.
They will not inform you of all other costs you will face on the way to your destination country and they are to no help what so ever after your goods leave the US.
The whole company is a big fat fraud.
So I would never ever recommend anyone to send any shipment to another country with this company unless you get a letter signed from them that states all costs from door to door.Read more
