I was told my initial $100 deposit would be discounted from my final bill. It was not. When I called to ask for this to be returned, the person I talked to was incredibly rude, interrupting and speaking over me. I am still waiting for reimbursement.
I was told on the phone during my initial quote, an hour of travel was included in the cost. I discussed how long travel should take based on locations on the initial call and it was confirmed with the sales rep that the travel time should be less than an hour. However, not only did they end up charging me for the travel time between the office and the moving locations, they added time for going to the warehouse (30 minutes away). The person on the phone after my move gaslit me saying that this hour travel time policy was not told to me ... but see the other reviews where others were told this as well then charged for travel and then some.
When I agreed to their hourly rate, I was promised 3 people but only 2 showed up day of. They still charged me for a 3 person crew until *I* pointed out that only 2 people arrived. They then only discounted less than a sixth of the hourly rate so I ended up spending several hundred dollars more than was initially discussed. The man on the phone pointed out (aka yelled over me) that he 'doesn't have control over people getting sick.' However, a company does have control over the pricing to provide a fair reimbursement to cover the additional time caused by failing to meet expectations/promises. Discounting a sixth of the hourly cost when the move takes over twice as long as expected does not cover that additional cost.
Several pieces (including a dresser, media console, couch, and nightstands) were broken and damaged during the move. The movers did not wrap the furniture except the couch. I wasn't able to even talk to the man on the phone about getting insurance reimbursed for these pieces due to him talking over me and not listening to me.
I do not recommend using this company. I paid way too much money for my furniture to be broken, charged for things that were initially represented to have been included in the hourly cost, not reimbursed via insurance for damage caused, and to be treated this way when trying to resolve these issues.Read more
