Long story short, they came out, were respectful and good movers. On Thanksgiving day, while sleeping in my bed, the bed broke to a 45 degree angle. This was due to the improper assembly of the bed. I have had this bed over 20 years with no assemble/disassemble issues.
Although I had to call over 7 times and Edgar rescheduled 5 times - 2 times because he had jobs that went longer than expected. Once, he did a no call no show. I remained patient and he had integrity in getting my custom hand-carved wood pieces fixed. Then his attitude destroyed it all at the point of re-delivery of the fixed items.
He let me know the pieces were ready from the furniture repair store and he wanted to bring them to me. I told him I had a lot to do on the Friday he wanted to come. He kept calling and kept texting asking if he would come. I told him Sunday would be a better day, but he kept saying today. I told him I would call to let him know if I could do anything, but that anything I could do would be around 8pm.
Finally, I had a pause in my schedule at 7:26 to let him know Sunday would be better. He text me that he was already here. It is a 1.5 hour drive to get to me. I did not confirm anything. He just forced himself to come and then was constantly ringing my bell and calling my phone. I told him I was busy today. This is narcissistic, self-centered, unreasonable behavior. Once I called him back I let him know I told him I would be busy, he said 'me too.' I proceeded to remind him that he stood me up 5 times and I understood. I told him in advance I had things to do. He just absolutely overrode everything to do what he wanted to do after his staff broke my bed, the person in the office that I talked to the day after Thanksgiving never sent him the text of the pictures, I made time for him to come out and see the damage for himself after 5 cancellations and - this! This is rude, selfish, immature, narcissistic, and not the proper way to handle or treat any human being. Then he had the nerve to hang up on me when I confronted him about it.
I hope your parents will call to discuss this with me. You need some maturing.Read more
