Hired Volture and they seemed professional at first. Then they showed up 5 hours late. I was not happy but just wanted the move done. The owner drove to the new place and damaged the building by hitting it with his truck. He informed me he would take care of the liability for it but then he disappeared. Now I am stuck with an angry neighbor and HOA threatening legal action and having to file with my insurance for an accident I did not cause. Worst company ever.

Update: 9/1/23 - My HOA charged me the deductible for their insurance which was $10,000. I had to file a claim with my homeowners insurance and I am now out my deductible along with the claim. My insurance company reached out to Volture over the last year with no response. Statute of limitations is almost up and I'm going to be out 10,000 in insurance claims. Don't hire this company.

The moving day went completely wrong. I ended up not being able to use the movers. I was assured I would get my refund back. I h@ve NEVER received it. They blocked my number and would not talk to me. I am a senior and live on a very limited budget and this was a huge splurge for me!!! Had scheduled this for June 11 2022. I called several times also different phone numbers. It either wouldn’t ring through or no one returns my calls. I originally talked to Joshua.
Beware of using them!!!!!

Josh, Halen and Manny moved me from California to Arizona (2 day trip). They seemed very personable and were concerned about doing a good job. They started loading up the truck and supposedly could not fit everything in truck. Then Josh (I believe he was the lead) spoke with their dispatcher (Grant) and told him that I had I had too much stuff and Grant started bullying and intimating me and insinuated that somehow I didn't disclose everything in my estimate. Just so you know I'm a single senior female, I was at their mercy. To make a long story short, they unloaded the truck and repacked it and everything fit. Obviously it was time consuming, one of the guys 'Halen' was constantly babbling about being an eagle scout, he was slow and lazy.

The next day they arrived in Arizona at my new home a few hours before my realtor was able to be there to let them in. Did I mention I was very generous bought them dinner both nights and lunch the second day I was very hospitable. They unloaded the truck and Josh asked me to take a look around to see if I was happy with the placement of furniture etc. I briefly looked around and everything appeared to be in place. Josh ended up charging me an extra $1,905 because they were slow.

Anyway, after they left and after the sticker shock. I realized I couldn't find my oak coffee table; I went outside in my yard and they had damaged my table and hid it in the side of yard so I would see it.

I feel like a fool, like I've been betrayed, wish I would have done more research, please don't use this company they're shysters.

I booked Volture Moving based off of mostly all good reviews on Google. When I called I was quoted $154/hour with a 2 hour minimum. They were booked for 10am but showed up at 10:20 after they called as they had trouble finding our place per their GPS.  The phone call is in my log starting at 10:19. They gave me a paper of a list of supplies and their charges for the supplies as well as a receipt of my $50 deposit.  No hourly rate was given before starting or listed on the cost sheet they handed me.  Three men came. One was new and while he was working, they often told him to wait til they told him what to do so I thought he was training.  I didn't realize he was extra and they would be charging more than they quoted me. They didn't notify me prior to starting.  If they had, I would have told them what I was quoted and called the main business line and worked it out. At 3:23 they had all already been downstairs cleaning up their items and had already told my boyfriend they were stopping the clock. Some time went by and one of the movers came to give the bill. He showed the total which was well over what I expected and ran through it quickly. He mentioned 6 hours of time and I questioned that. He said we had gone over the 15 minute grace period so a new hour of time was added?? We did NOT go over that. He insisted that we did but 10:20-3:23 is 5 hours and 3 minutes. Which I told him. He then proceeded to give the same explanation... I'm not sure what he was going off of? At that point I was annoyed and didn't know what to do. He gave me the copy of their charges and they left. I noticed on the page that it actually said $231/hour vs the $154/hour I was quoted. I text the person I set the job up with, Joshua. No response. I emailed and text a couple times and 2 days later was asked to call them back. Joshua basically just said everything verbatim that the mover said to me. I have a log of my initial call setting up the move and a time stamp on the notes I took. No one ever told me prior to the move that they changed the rate. I was never told on arrival. He won't honor the hourly rate he told me. I have images of the papers they gave me and nothing shows the other rate. I own a business and if I quote someone incorrectly it is my duty to either tell them I messed up prior to services or honor the rate after services are rendered. Not doing so is bad business.  I even offered to split the rate difference because they did do the work, albeit I was under the impression it would cost less, but he wouldn't work with me. I now have asked my credit card company to dispute the incorrect amount.  Everyone I know who I've told about it is also surprised he isn't upholding what he said. The plain fact is I would have booked another company if I knew their rate was so high. The staff was nice, but I won't be recommending them or working with them again. I like to support local small businesses but only if they have fair business practices and treat their customers correctly. Honesty and integrity matter these days and that didn't happen here. Taking responsibility for mistakes you make is part of being a business owner. It builds a better reputation with the community so they can trust your word.Read more

I moved seven times (office and home) in two years when I lived in Santa Barbara. I have a lot of experience with movers. VMC, from the first email and a follow-up phone call, answered all my questions promptly. I received text confirmations assuring that I was on the calendar. The crew was on time, packed the truck quickly, yet efficiently. I didn't feel they were trying to add time to the job. The unloading was equally quick and efficient. Everything was protected with pads and/or shrink wrap. I requested a few things and they responded professionally. Before they left, they inquired if I wanted anything moved to a different place in my new home. I did :) Throughout the whole move there was open communication. As you know, moving is stressful, yet VMC handled my move as to not create any additional stress. I highly recommend Josh and Jason and their assistants.
