Lotus was with me the whole way from start to finish. Customer service was impeccable. Movers were very detail oriented. Wrapped and packed everything with such care. Delivered and assembled all my furniture in desired rooms. Would definitely recommend using Lotus moving & Storage.

I was moving from Michigan to California. First of all, this company is a big fraud. They are just middle man. The actual moving is done by some other company. I received a quote of about 3000 $ for moving all my stuff. I did not have a lot stuff to move. I did not have sofa, dining table etc. I just had a bed and bed frame and some additional kitchen stuff and few boxes. On the day of moving, they told me that I need to pay additional money as they need more space to fit my stuff in the truck and my apartment was just few feet away from where they parked. I paid the additional money because I had no choice. They took almost 4 months to deliver my stuff to California and the guaranteed delivery was suppose to be in a month. I called them several times- they would not respond to my calls most of the time and gave me a excuse each time. When I finally received my stuff, the driver was extremely rude- all my boxes were open, most of my stuff were missing and damaged. They just gave me the BOL delivery paper and said that I can claim everything that is damaged and missing. When I asked for a claim from another company- they did not gave me a single penny as they said the documents are not sufficient and they do have any records for it.

Whatever you do, DO NOT use this company. They are brokers and DO NOT care one bit when or if you get your things. They will continue to up your price even though they tell you in the beginning they are the lowest price. They don't return phone calls. They lie to you about your delivery date...over and over. And will threaten non delivery of your things if you don't do your move their way. You use them you better have the police and an attorney on standby.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I moved from VT to CO and had the most terrible experience, as if moving across the country wasn’t difficult enough. I moved out of a one bedroom apartment and Lotus quoted me about $4,000 for the job after doing a full inventory list of my items. When the third party moving company showed up, that Lotus didn’t even tell me about so I couldn’t research them, they told me I would have to pay $4,000 in CASH ONLY for the pickup and $4,000 in cash for the delivery. I had zero warning of this from Lotus. The movers told me to my face that they hoped I would cancel my move even though I had a job starting a week from that day. It was the absolute worst experience. The movers claimed I used 820 cubic feet in their moving truck, but when they showed up to deliver my items, they arrived in a 400 cubic foot small UHaul van. They also broke my desk, so I filed a claim and they never even got back to me about it. When I tried to call Lotus to explain the situation, no one there would answer my calls despite them being very responsive before the move. It was like they knew this is what was going to happen. As others have stated, they are a brokerage. They gave me an estimate and had me pay a deposit. On moving day the movers show up and tell me the BINDING contract I signed with Lotus isn't worth anything. Had to fight with them for a solid hour. They didn't disassemble anything and took way more room than they needed and still didn't take all my stuff! I had to rent a uhaul trailer to finish the rest which totally defeated the purpose of hiring a moving company for a cross country move. They charged me extra, took about a month to deliver. Never do business with a moving broker, you want an estimate locked in. Never received payment for items that were broke/missing.
