The customer service point of contact has been delayed in communication and I have to reach out multiple times to get an answer. Also, reimbursement process has not been shown to customers and deny the reimbursements after trips and expenses have been accumulated. I do not recommend this company in relocation.

UPDATE: I reached out to the CEO Chad Sterling this morning, and now they are honoring the contract, and I still get to close today. Thank you.

Too bad it doesn't give negative stars. I'm trying to buy a house from them and they wait until the morning of closing and they say the repairs they agreed to in my contract couldn't get done in time. Instead of offering a credit for the repairs so my closing could still go through, they said they aren't authorized and my closing is now delayed. I may lose the house entirely and all the money I've already invested in it if I have to walk away. It will cost you more to re-list the house than to give me the $7,000 credit for repairs to the shower. This was supposed to be resolved 3 days before closing. This house has foundation problems and needs $20,000 in piers. It has asbestos and needs a $18,000 abatement and a $6000 ceiling refinish.
It's walls have damages and need $18,000 in point up and paint. It's carpets have holes and stains throughout the house and replacement costs $15,000. There is a moisture problem under the house that has caused the bricks to need mortar that I don't even have estimates for yet. I get to pay for everything except for the shower repairs you agreed to, so repair the shower or give me the money to repair it.Read more

Terrible Organization. They were responsible for my recent cross-country relocation. Note that I have worked before with other relocation companies before (including Cartus) so I didn't have high expectations as there are always issues with moving. However Altair was terrible. Non-responsive, didn't provide the services they were paid to do, used 'partner' companies to receive kick-backs, took 40% of my realtors commission (for doing nothing - they consider this an 'introduction' fee, although I actually found my own realtor). They almost lost me my house purchase.

My realtor stated she would not deal with them again. My wife does not want to deal with them again. I do not want to deal with them again.
So I suggest you avoid if at all possible (although not easy to do as they are often forced upon you by employer). Employers note that Cartus are far easier to deal with!

Their average review on Yelp is 1 star and Google's average at the time of writing is 1.5 star. There is a reason for this :-)Read more

My experience with Altair has been awful. They are slow to respond, if they respond at all. I've received acknowledgement and 'confirmation' of expense payouts that have never actually gone through, and when calling up to investigate, it turns out they were never processed. One such payout took 2 consultants and then an escalation to management before any action was taken. The manager himself rang me and told me the payment had been processed and I would receive it within 2 days. 2 days later when nothing had come through I contacted him again, he replied to me telling me they were going to process it that day! Such a dishonest company. Would never use them again.

This has got be consistently one of the worst companies I have ever had any interaction with. The bad reviews are true as I can attest to this from experience on both my employer using them as a relocation agent as well as making an offer on a home they were managing for someone else's relocation. My relocation experience was several years ago, and my buying experience was just recent. So they obviously don't care whatsoever as they have made no attempt to turn themselves around. Avoid Altair at all costs!!!! If you are buying a home, know that they do not follow the typical real estate rules nor do they pay any mind to people's lives. They will leave you in limbo and it will be well after the longer than normal time frames even they say they will commit to.
