The initial contact with [Name removed by Sirelo]was very pleasant, and we completed a virtual walkthrough of our entire house that covered every room, closet, cupboard, and drawer. Despite this, the movers arrived without the appropriate packing materials, and their packing strategy proved incoherent, as we later discovered. For example, they meticulously wrapped a box of tissues (!) and other random items in craft paper, yet stacked several paintings together in a box with no protective padding whatsoever.
After many weeks of delay with little to no communication from the French team, our belongings finally arrived at our new home ten weeks after leaving our house (the estimate we were given was four to six weeks). Furniture was scratched or damaged, lamps were broken, and although the moving-in team unpacked most of our items, they were unable to locate the hardware (packed but not labeled by the movers) needed to reassemble our desk and bed—so they simply left contrary to provisions in the contract. When we contacted Schumacher Cargo to report that they had not fulfilled their contract, they stopped responding entirely. We have not heard from them since. From start to finish, Schumacher did an amazing job from sales rep [Name removed by Sirelo], to Hayward warehouse manager [Name removed by Sirelo] & his crew, they were knowledgeable gracious professionals. The packing done by the warehouse crew was absolutely stellar! Once our furnishings arrived in Rotterdam, [Name removed by Sirelo] from Import Global Moving & Shipping took over on this side of the pond. She answered every email, quickly, and with kindness, a true professional. Her team that unloaded our furnishings at our home were outstanding! I can’t thank [Names removed by Sirelo] enough for their professionalism and care with our furniture. I would highly recommend both companies for any international move you need to make. Thank you all!

Schumacher Logistics wurde mit dem Umzug in Houston beauftragt, ITO übernahm ab Hamburg, organisierte die Entladung vom Schiff um die Sachen dann durch den Zoll zu bringen und schließlich zu liefern. Alles lief reibungslos, insbesondere meine Kontaktperson von ITO in Hamburg informierte mich über den Stand der Dinge und organisierte die Lieferung des Umzugsguts pünktlich nach Freiburg. Somit kann ich beide Unternehmen sehr empfehlen.

I was able to ship some furniture and few boxes to Madrid from my apartment in Brooklyn. I though I was going to have to leave these items behind, but I did take a chance and see what the prices were to actually move my stuff with me. In the end I payed a little over $2100 on the US side and an additional $600 in Spain. This was less than I expected and the prices were decently explained to me based on the overall size of the items. Because of this I was able to shed some items and bring the cost down. I have my furniture here with me and am using it now, so overall it went as expected.
