They are professional movers who are experts in the business down to every detail from the estimate, communication, to the actual move itself.
They have every detail coved from laying down protection on your floors, to shrink wrapping your furniture for protection,
Closet boxes to move your clothes to and boxes to fit every item you need packing.
It's a no brainer, chose Von Sydow and put your mind at ease!
The movers have years of experience and take care of your possessions as if they were their own. They are all very friendly and accommodating with what ever you need done.

The employees of Von Sydows did a first class job on our move. Not one thing was broken, they were courteous, willingly helpful and paused to thoughtfully discuss the more difficult moves BEFORE they acted. They were fun to be around as well. Highly recommend.

This was the third time I used Von Sydow's for a move and I have been so happy with the level of service I had to write a review. The team was absolutely amazing. Steven, Joey and John were so incredibly nice and polite and careful with my things. They made what could have been a really stressful day into a very nice experience. Not only were they experts at moving efficiently but they were just really nice guys. I highly recommend Von Sydow's for your moving needs. Every experience has been good, but this last one was by far the best!

Von Sydow's salesperson, Jim Schwantz (also the mayor of Palatine, IL) misrepresented what the moving company was capable of doing. We packed all of our own boxes and only had two chairs for our local move of 30 miles. We had only one item that had any fragility that they packed - which was a very large picture frame. We specifically asked Jim if they could handle it. He said it would be no issue as they pack pictures all of the time. When we arrived at our new location and unpacked the picture frame on the same day, the glass was broken and the frame was chipped. Upon receiving a repair quote from a local Chicago based picture frame company, the cost was $4900. We originally paid more. Upon informing Jim and the owner Brad Von Sydow about the damage, they had me fill out a claim form. They ended up providing us with a check for $22. Quite disappointing! Brad sent me an email and shared that while they focus on quality, this was out of their control. These were his exact words. I'm not sure how he could come to this conclusion. He was basically just not taking any responsibility for their negligence and sited the Illinois Commerce Commissions rule of $.30 per pound. It was their duty to inform us of what their liabilities and coverage was, and they did not do this. Normally, I focus on contracts and liabilities but in this case, since we only had one item that was fragile, virtually no furniture and boxes that we had packed, I did not focus on any problems that could occur. It is very unfortunate in this day and age of customer service and social media that Von Sydow would take no responsibility for their actions while the owner couldn't care less about what happened by saying it was out of their control. We were moving my mother from a 2 bedroom condo to a 1 bedroom apartment.
We spoke with Jim on the phone and he was really friendly and helped us think about what we needed to get going for the move.
Our moving team (Steve, Anthony and Miguel) was the greatest!
They were professional, personable and incredibly helpful with the move from start to finish.
We moved the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. That is a rough day because everyone is waiting for the holiday and some time off. They worked quickly, but we never felt rushed as we were trying to get everything together.
Lastly, their price came in significantly lower than others that I had called in the area.
They were worth every penny and I would highly recommend them!
