165I moved from Connecticut to Londrina, Brazil.
The entire operation was smooth, without any complications, and a lot of professionalism. The handle of my goods was done like every piece was their goods. I had a lot of questions along the way but [Name removed by Sirelo] was always there to answer every question and email.
My goods were delivered on schedule.
Now is all about Brazilian authorities, God help me...
The move between countries was professional, efficient and smoother than I ever expected.
When I began this process, if I knew then how organized and competent both Isaacs and their partner company in Ireland (McGimpseys) were going to be, then I would not have been as stressed as I actually was.
But I suppose given it was a transatlantic move some degree of worry is normal about how safe our stuff was - kraken attack, ghost pirates plundering the cargo hold, mysterious wormhole sucking our crates to Dimension X - as there are some situations no insurance policy will cover.
The Isaac’s team [Name removed by Sirelo] remained in regular contact from the beginning of the move and even after the move was complete to ensure all was completed to our satisfaction. They were always proactive making contact both by telephone and e-mail throughout the move to provide updates and answer any questions which occurred to me along the way. I have to say both they and [Name removed by Sirelo] their counterpart in Ireland, always provided me with friendly, professional and reassuring support during the move, which did lower my anxiety levels as I began to trust that Isaacs was an efficient well oiled machine, and stood back to let them do their thing.
The removal teams on both sides of the Atlantic were pleasant, courteous , careful and respectful of our belongings during the packing, inventory, and actual removal stages. It reassured me to some extent that our contents would most likely make it in one piece to the USA, aside from any accident which given the distance may or not occur. I believe by this stage my fear of moving was being lowered by the fact that I had begun to trust in the fact that the two companies were totally friendly and very focused on trying to deliver an excellent service to their customers, and which for me they certainly did.
Back in May 2023, I was getting quotes from various removal companies for their services, and Isaacs quote came in at about $1200 below the others ($6000 for 54 book boxes and two small furniture chests including insurance - my other quotes ranged from between $7400 and an eye watering $10500).
My dilemma was - is cheaper necessarily better? and I stewed on that question for a long while. What swung me to going with Isaacs was that this move felt like a major ordeal to me and I had nothing but questions and more questions, of which many may have sounded stupid but to me who had a lot of anxieties needed to know to be sure I was happy I saw the whole picture, and had a very decent overview of what we were about to get into. I spent some time emailing and speaking by voice with [Name removed by Sirelo] at Isaacs and to be fair, it was his attention, patience and good humor that sold me on the company and why I happily chose Isaacs as our movers, as I felt he wanted my business and I was made feel that my choice mattered.
I hope never to have to make a transatlantic or any other kind of move in my lifetime, but corny as it may sound, I’d be organizing that move via Isaacs, because my experience was very positive and that strikes me as being a very reassuring mindset to have if ever there should be a next time.Read more
