I am trying to recover the differences between door-to-door and door-to-port services, but they have yet to respond after two weeks (i.e., they don't return emails, never picks up the phone, won't return voice messages). I am now considering taking legal action against them.
If you want unprofessional, insincere, dishonest, rude movers, go with them. Otherwise, stay away!!!!!!

Please contact [email protected].

- LYING ABOUT SERVICES INCLUDED - Confirmed multiple times that all fees were included and I wouldn't have to pay anything at destination, but I ended up paying custom fees at destination. Mentioned the service would be door to door including unpacking, and I had to hire my own guy to help open the wooden crate that was sent.
- TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION - Unclear communication, with multiple phone calls, unclear emails, different versions of the same story.
THIS COMPANY IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY AT ALL. DO NOT HIRE THEIR SERVICES.

I don't think I have ever come across a company a well-run as these movers. The management takes a lot of care to ensure that clients know what they are being charged for and guiding us along the process. The great work ethic is evident even in the movers. Fantastic experience.

After two weeks without hearing back from them through phone or e-mail, (despite our several attempts to contact them) we received an email stating that the total and final amount would be $6,658.74. Immediately after reading the e-mail we attempted to contact [Name removed by Sirelo] and left a voicemail stating that unfortunately we did not or could not afford that, we received an e-mail that same day stating that “we are sorry that you feel as such but note that your cargo has left. (…) There is no way to retract the cargo once it is on the water”. However, we had never signed a contract or officially agreed to any amount other than the $970.00 initially quoted. Still to this day, we have yet to sign any type of contract, inventory, bill of lading, or any kind of official document. As a matter of fact, we have yet to sign anything at all.
After this, an extended exchange of e-mails and phone calls began. During these calls, we attempted to explain that we never agreed to a $6,658.74 quote and that we would gladly give up our deposit of $500.00 and personally go to their location to pick up our belongings. First were told that it was impossible because our things were in transit to Barcelona, then, that they were in a warehouse in Miami. Every time we asked [Nane removed by Sirelo] about the possibility of recuperating our belongings, understanding that we would lose the $500.00 deposit, we were told it was impossible.
After stating that we were going to sue them, [Name removed by Sirelo] stated that he would be able to lower the price. After several attempts and several offers ($4,597.24; and then $2,880.00) we came to an agreement of $2,180.00. To obtain this price, we had to agree to losing our couch and picking up our belongings at the port instead of having them delivered at our address as we were initially told.
During this exchange and negotiation, we were only able to talk to [Name removed by Sirelo] and continuously received e-mails stating that we were responsible for any additional costs, and that if we did not comply or belonging would be left in a random port. None of the e-mails sent by the company addressed any of the concerns we discussed over the phone with [Name removed by Sirelo] and he insisted that the payment had to be done immediately (at this point we still did not have any type of contract or official document). They expected us to pay the entire amount of $2,180.00 with no guaranties that we would not be charged any additional charges or fees and that our belongings would make it safely to Barcelona, Spain.
At this time, they still have all our belongings and we have been forced to file an official complaint through the Federal Maritime Commission and the NY Attorney General office.Read more
