The whole process was very frustrating!! Laser International salesperson estimated the transit time is 8-12 weeks in their quote, which is the longest time I got among different international movers’ quotes, they explained it is on a groupage basis. I chose them because the salesperson guaranteed that I will not have to pay duty or tax on anything I ship, this made me think that at least there won’t be any extra costs, but their speed and price are actually not competitive!
The worst thing is it finally took me 14 WEEKS to see my long-awaited stuff! 8 weeks, I guess it will never happen! And 14 weeks, it’s more than a quarter year! Originally, I thought I will have my stuff no later than Christmas, that’s why I didn’t carry any heavy coat with me, and the result was I felt freezingly cold during the long wait.
The other weird thing is I was not given ANY documents of the shipping except the invoice, neither inventory list of my shipment, nor the detailed insurance company’s
coverage which I paid for the shipment. So, I waited and waited very anxiously for like a century long! I guess the only thing you can do is to wait and accept when you ship internationally on groupage!
The shipping timeframe is as follows,
10/01/2025 mover picked up the shipment from New York
10/17/2025 Laser International informed shipment on vessel to Europe
11/26/2025 arrived in Antwerp, Belgium
~ clear the customs ~
12/12/2025 onboard to Ireland’s warehouse
12/18/2025 arrived in Ireland
~ Christmas holiday ~
1/8/2026 delivered to my address
