What is your insurance policy? How do you deal with damaged items?

Laser International has full replacement insurance options available to our clients. In the unlikely event of damage, the claims process is done online and is very easy to file.

What is the best advice you would give to customers?

Ask lots of questions, read independents reviews and narrow down your search to 2 or 3 companies. Request a free survey from those companies to verify the size of your shipment and determine associated costs. Then, select the company you feel most comfortable with based on service, price and overall value.

I recently shipped a container of furniture, the cargo was delivered only after a week the ship arrived at the Port of Genoa, therefore one item was missing because goods were unsupervised during the easter holiday, also few items were damaged. I called and sent e-mails to the local branch manager to solicit him to provide me the insurance policy to open a claim for compensation, as the premium was paid for in the contract. At the end he just made vague promises and never sent me any info to file a claim through the insurance company but just sneaked away and disappeared. I reccomend everyone not to do businesses with this company, at least in Florida because their branchmanager is a shady and dishonest individual, I will try to sue them !

We had a long and very successful journey with Laser International. We started discussions with [Name removed by Sirelo] from Laser in February '22 and each step of the way we found him to be knowledgeable, easy going and very patient with all our questions! We planned out the move from Miami, FL to Porto, Portugal in great detail - video surveys, lists of items, etc. Over the course of our planning, things changed - we sold, donated or gave some of the larger items to family, and kept changing the arrival date. [Name removed by Sirelo] flexed along with us - providing adjusted quotes and coming up with options to save us $$. We ended up routing the items via Belgium in a shared container vs the full container we originally planned for. When we arrived in Porto, and saw how small our rental apartment was, we realized we couldn't have the items delivered there, so we frantically made arrangements to store the goods in Belgium until we bought a home. Well, we just had the items delivered and so far everything looks good. The teams in Miami and in Porto handled the packing and unpacking perfectly. They were very respectful of the property and managed even the bigger pieces with ease (and some creativity :). We highly recommend Laser International if you are considering an overseas move. Just recently moved with Laser International from Boston to Amsterdam, where I worked with [Name removed by Sirelo] at Laser International. Everything went smoothly, including getting the initial quote, working with the packing team on the day of the packing in Boston, and the unpacking in the Netherlands. [Name removed by Sirelo] and his team were always prompt in communication and kept me in the loop during the whole process and were very flexible in working on scheduling a final delivery date in Amsterdam. Everything arrived in perfect condition, except just after the moving team left, we discovered that the pedals for our bike were missing. We promptly contacted [Name removed by Sirelo]'s team which were able to find them and give them to us the following day in great condition. Overall: I highly recommend their service !

You can't go wrong with Laser International, and I especially recommend their Relocation Manager [Name removed by Sirelo] - a friendly, consummate, detail-focused professional with excellent communication skills.

This was my first trans-Atlantic move to Europe and it went more smoothly than all my previous domestic moves back in the US. [Name removed by Sirelo] managed every detail promptly, smoothly and with flexibility. I changed my tentative move date once and also changed the amount of personal belongings I decided to move to Europe at least three times. [Name removed by Sirelo] handled it all with aplomb, providing quick adjustments and solutions. His European partner, Gosselin Moving's rep [Name removed by Sirelo], was equally professional and accommodating. Everything arrived in tact and reached Portugal when they said it would. They also arranged very affordable storage for a couple of months, while I awaited finalization of my EU visa. And once I was approved and ready to board a plane, they had my crates arrive within a week! This was by far the easiest part of my move to Portugal. I didn't have to worry about a thing.
